Music Makes the People...

In response to our HR music lesson I would like you to appeal to your emotional side for a bit.  Please answer the following questions and speak with feeling and passion ( and honesty).
When you are done answering the questions, I would like you to respond to at least two other people's responses.  Let's share together and interact a bit because we will be doing a lot of this the next couple of months.

1.  How does music (or art, film, or any other creative medium) inspire and shape you?  Show how.  How is it a "feeling" and "response"?  How does it reflect your spirit?  Is it something that frees you?  Brings catharsis?  Compassion?  Empathy?  Please reflect.

2.  Fill in the blank-(keep this toward the topic of music or art):
When I hear (see, sing...)____________, I know/I feel________________.
Please elaborate on your statement.

Example: When I hear Motown-from Otis Redding, Marvin Gay and Stevie Wonder to Aretha Franklin and  the Temptations, I am entranced.  It is a connection I feel.   I am listening to art passed down to me.  I am listening to something that speaks truth-something that was meant to transcend. I hear something that was played in the house on Saturday mornings, cleaning the furniture and singing and dancing with a mop.  In my car, on lazy Sunday's or when the doldrums of life seem too real, I put in my Motown and it shares its voice allowing for a more liberating experience.  It is an experience, a nostalgia, a memory of times that always pervade my soul with warmth.  It is a love of past experience and knowledge. A love of the shouts, and beats, rhythms, rhymes and that of LIFE!
"but the soft words they are spoke so gentle
yeah yeah yeah
and it makes it easier to bear
oh she wont regret it
no no
them young girls they dont forget it
love is their whole happiness
yeah yeha yeah
but its all so easy
all you got to do is try
try a little tenderness"-

Every time I listen to those lyrics, I smile.  Otis lives through me, letting me know the trials of love, of want, of a lesson learned.  I shout it from the pit of my stomach and blare it out.  Oh how I could go on...

3.  Pick one song that moves you and share your ideas.

4.  If you so desire; tell me your top music artists:
For me:
1. Led Zeppelin
2.  Tool
3. Dave Matthews Band
4.  Metallica
5.  Rodrigo y Gabriela...and the list goes on and on...

  1. To me creative mediums can inspire you in many ways , like if they show beautiful nature, inspiring stories, or other things that move you. They can make you feel great, sad, or pumped up. We can all read/watch/play one of these great forms of media and it brings us together because most of us will really enjoy it.
When i see one of my favorite movies or play one of my favorite games i feel nostalgia of either memories or just being happy. When i see beautiful art it inspires me and just looks really cool.
One song that moves me is Be Happy by Bob Marley because it shows in life how you should always be happy and my grandma who has stage 4 breast cancer uses the song to keep her going when she isn't feeling well.

    1. Eric what you have to say is good but the way you put it is kind of confusing but that's alright sometimes you know the feeling within you but you have a tough time translating it to the real world

  2. 1. Music inspires me to be myself. It gives so many messages with little or no words. The music I listen to shows how I am feeling and shows who I am and what moves me. It gives me time to think about my life and what the plan is for my future.
    2. When I hear my favorite song or artist like Mumford and Sons, Switchfoot or Heath McNease I feel happy and it reminds me of what I have experienced and what is yet to come. I hear thousands of emotions in one song.
    3. "And in the middle of the night
    I may watch you go
There'll be no value in the strength
Of walls that I have grown
There'll be no comfort in the shade
    Of the shadows thrown
But I'd be yours if you'd be mine"
The song "Lover of the Light" by Mumford and Sons make me so happy and calm all the possibilities that this one segment could be. The meanings and the emotions are so strong with this song. I love this song. I listen to it when I'm happy, sad, angry and stressed and it always seems to connect to me no matter what I am feeling. It's hard to pinpoint the meaning of this song, but thats what makes it amazing.
    4. My favorite artists are:
    1. Mumford and Sons
    2. Heath McNease
    3. Switchfoot
    4. David Crowder Band

    1. I really like how music can inspire you to be yourself because it seems like today not many people actually know how to be themselves.

    2. I can connect to how music makes you feel happy about things and how it can change the way you are feeling about things.

    3. I really like how music to you is inspiring I can really relate to that.

  3. Music for me is a way to express myself and my emotions. If I feel a certain way on a day, then the type of music i listen to is affected by that. For example, if I get mad then I might listen to rap that day, when if I'm sad I might listen to Coldplay or somebody like that. Music can also give you that connection, that understanding in a song that you can reflect on.
When I hear Matisyahu, I know change is a part of life. He has changed so much as an artist, and he knows about struggle and the difficulties of life.
One song that moves me is "I'm Alright" by Jake Miller because of the message that it shows about life. It's basically about how material possessions can't give you everything, and everybody is all caught up in trying to be successful and having money wthout taking a step back to realize what's truly important.
A few of the artists I like are:
    Matisyahu
    Macklemore
    Hoodie Allen
    Linkin Park
    Kid Cudi

    1. Your first line, just rings in your ear. Music undoubted conveys emotion, but it feels different saying to out loud or rather typing it for the world to see.

    2. I like how you appreciate what the writers have to say over why they are saying it. It's not about the money but the lives of the people you can change for the better. Life isn't always about the money because when you're gone you can't take it with you.

  4. 1) Music is a form of expression, relief, and escape. It lifts you up high when you are feeling low, calms you down in moments of intense anger, gets you pumped up for something, the list goes on and on. Music is infinite, there is a song for every feeling you get and whatever you are going through. Could you imagine a movie without a soundtrack to it? It wouldn't be as entertaining would it? Music is strangely powerful, it can change you completely within seconds.
2)Often times when I go on a bike rides the first thing that i do before heading out is load up Neopolitan Dreams by Lisa Mitchell on my ipod and set out. It puts me in a somewhat trance like state where i can escape reality, clearing my head of all my problems. I can simply just forget.
3)A song that moves me is Otherside by Macklemore, don't get me wrong i enjoy his goofier side of music but his serious music really speaks. There is more meaning to what he is saying than what i hear coming out of the mouths of most rappers.
    4)1-A Day To Remember
    2-System Of A Down
    3-Tool(along with Maynard's other bands)
    4-Angels & Airwaves

  5. To me, music is an escape from the world around me. I listen to music every single day. Music is most important to me when I’m sad, angry, and stressed. I listen to music that I can sing to in order to get my emotions out of my head. The music I listen to when I’m down and stressed out usually relates to how I am feeling.

When I hear music that I can connect to I feel like I’m not alone in the world. It makes me feel like I’m really connected to the song because I know what the artist is going through. I can feel many emotions when I listen to songs I can connect to.

    Baby you a song
You make me wanna roll my windows down and cruise
Down a back road blowin’ stop signs through the middle
Every little farm town with you
In this brand new Chevy with a lift kit
Would look a hell of a lot better with you up in it
    So baby you a song
You make me wanna roll my windows down and cruise

“Cruise” by Florida Georgia Line is a song that makes me think of summer and summer is such a happy time that every time I listen to it I smile and sing along so happily. I turn it up, open my sun roof, roll all my windows down and rock out!

    1.The Weekend
    2.Mumford and Sons
    3.Macklemore
    4.Hoodie Allen

    3. I really agree with what you said about music and your emotions. There's always a song for what you're feeling like in that moment.

  6. 1) I think that music inspires me to do different things depending on what genre I’m listening to. When I listen to country it makes me want to just relax and go to the beach. It makes me forget all my troubles and just enjoy all of the wonderful things that I have in life. If I want to calm down or relax I just listen to my country play list. But when I’m angry or mad about something that is out of my control I’ll listen to heavier music such as A Day to Remember or Disturbed. For me music is a way to be able to show my thoughts that I can’t put into words.
    2) A song from Sammy Adam’s says:
Used to be at the bottom with all the other lobsters
Now I’m in the sky like birds and helicopters
This song makes me feel as though I might be at the bottom right now but I can rise up and become something. It inspires me to rise up above the rest and go that extra mile. It reminds me that I can do anything if I work for it.
    3) You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow
This opportunity only comes once in a lifetime

These are lyrics from Eminem’s song “Lose Yourself” It reminds me that life is short and you have to take every opportunity you get. Whether it’s a new job or a tryout for a new team you have to go for it and give it all you got. Wayne Gretzky once said, “You miss 100% of the shots you never take.” I think that both of these quotes show that you must be willing to give it your all and take a risk in life and that’s something that drives me every day to do better and improve myself
    4) Sammy Adam’s, Mac Miller, A Day to Remember, Matisyahu, Breaking Benjamin

  7. 1. Music to me inspires me to keep on going and to try different things in life. I like many different types of music and each different type means something different to me. When I am having a bad day or need to be motivated to do something I just listen to music and it makes me a lot happier.
    2. When I see my favorite movie or hear a song that I like it really makes me think about whatever it is and really be able to relate to it and realize what other people are going through and just enjoy life to the fullest.
3.One song that I really like is "It's America" by Rodney Atkins I really enjoy this song because it talks about living in America and why he really enjoys it and shows how everyone gets together to help each other out it really shows you how lucky we are to live in such great place.

  8. 1. Music is something that I listen to no matter what mood I am in. It is something that will cheer me up if I am feeling down. I am a person who in their car isn't afraid to roll my windows down and blast my music and end up using my steering wheel as a drum and sing out the lyrics to the world. I am a person who wouldn't know life without music. It is something that inspires me to keep going when I'm feeling down or get pumped up before a track meet.

    2. When I hear my favorite song, maybe even songs I feel no shame and just start singing out the lyrics. Some people may think this is weird but music is a passion of mine and would be lost without it. These songs don't always have lyrics. I love to whistle and am pretty good at it. When whistle comes on the radio I am able to whistle to the song. Many of my friends ask me to whistle for them because they think it is so cool.

    3. A song that moves me is "You raise me up" by Josh Groban. This song reminds me off all the people who have died to maintain my freedoms. I am so thankful for those who have put themselves in harms way to protect my life and keep me safe. This also reminds me of my mom. Sure she lives with me and I am able to tell her I love her. Some people have never met their mothers. I am so thankful that I have her in my life and probably should tell her that I love her more often then I do and that I appreciate what she has sacrificed to make sure my life is better then how hers was.

  9. 1. Music inspires me to reach for greater things in life. Without music I don’t know how I would be able to go on living each day the way I am able to now. Music will easily bring me out of a bad mood, whether it’s listening to it or playing it. I believe that the types of music someone listens to is a reflection of their personality; whether they’re lighter or darker.

    2. When I hear Landslide by Fleetwood Mac, I feel like I’m at a state of peace. Growing up, my mom would always turn on music during the summer, you could hear the music throughout the entire house. The Fleetwood Mac album The Dance would be one of the more frequent albums played. I always stop to listen to that album because it reminds me of family get togethers during the summer and fall, and of warm summer nights my family would enjoy together. This song brings back good memories.

    3. The song Same Love by Macklemore is a song that really moves me. When I listen to this song, I know that there is hope for society. Hope that one day society will be lenient towards different kinds of people. The song has such a powerful meaning and I don’t think I will ever grow tired of listening to it. It’s such a peaceful song and I applaud Macklemore for writing such a beautiful song.

  10. 1. Music inspires me to look at things from a different perspective. It also makes me really look at the lyrics of the song and understand the meaning that they are portraying. Some people use music to raise their spirits or get them in some sort of mood. Personally music is just used to get me in a better mood most of the times.
    2. When I see my favorite movie or play my favorite game I feel that it takes me back to my childhood when I'm with my friends just hanging out.
    3. Mac Miller's song "Donald Trump" really shows the views that millionaires feel as they look the world. As you look more closely at the lyrics he talks about how you don't care how others are talking about you and all the money you have. This song always teaches me to not worry what others think of you and to do whatever it is that you want to do.
    4. Mac Miller, Kid Cudi, Blackmill, Sammy Adams

  11. 1.Some music gives me energy, some relaxes me, some even makes me feel ecstatic. Music is something that i use as a runaway from my daily surroundings. It makes me think about stuff i don't usually think about and makes me reflect about my actions.

2.I am an open minded person when it comes to my music preferences, when I listen to songs that I could relate to, it makes me notice that I'm not the only one.

    3. I like this song called Sweet Disposition by The Temper Trap because it relaxes me. Its beat just calms me down and I just feel like appreciating other people as I listen to it

  12. Music means nothing to me until i listen closely to the lyrics. Then it makes me recollect on the past. Its like a time machine that can send you back in time, it brings you to your past. I listen to music in the car and when i lift.

When I hear Where were you when the world stopped turning it brings me back to Cheyenne and family trips and memories

John Motgomerys song "Lifes a dance" Makes me think about life, you learn as you go. Everyone makes mistakes you just need to learn from them

My favorite bands and/or artists (No order)
Tim Mcgraw, Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson, A Day To Remember,Bring me the horizon and many others

  13. Film inspires me to be great. It fills me with all sorts of emotion and gets me hyped to take on the world. Music does the same except I can listen to music just about anywhere. I use music to make my emotions more extreme. If I am super excited I will rock to some dubstep or if I am feeling down maybe I chill out to some killers. When I hear Mr. Rager by Kid Cudi, I feel so many different emotions and think so many different thoughts. I feel relaxed by the mellow beat. I am almost lulled into a coma of peacefulness. The song makes me think back on the places I’ve been and the things I’ve done. By the end of the song I am already thinking about the future travels.
    My favorite artists are:
    -Childish Gambino
    -Kid Cudi
    -The killers

  14. 1) Music is my life. When I'm at a lose for words music finds me. It gives me courage in times of doubt, inspiration in times of fear, motivation in times of weakness. Music is like a passport that takes me to a different place. Its acts like a bridge allowing me to connect with people on a deep level. Music is the only thing that will always make sense.

    2) When I hear artists with motivational music or lyrics it makes my soul happy. When I'm sad I listen to "She Will Be Loved" by Maroon 5 and it feels like I have a fuzzy sock around my heart. When I'm nervous before a race I listen to "Lose Yourself" by Eminem and I forgot about the seven oppenents next to me. These lyrics said by someone else can perfectly show how I'm feeling and lift my spirits.

    3) Until the referee rings the bell
Until both your eyes start to swell
    Until the crowd goes home
    What we gonna do ya'll?
Give em hell, turn their heads
Gonna live life 'til we're dead.
Give me scars, give me pain
Then they'll say to me, say to me, say to me
There goes the fighter, there goes the fighter
    Here comes the fighter
That's what they'll say to me, say to me, say to me,
    This one's a fighter

"The Fighter" by Gym Class Heros is a song that really moves me. The lyrics explain that no matter what trials or obstacles you go through in life you gotta keep fighting. The music video for this song features 2012 Olympic Gymnast John Orozco who survived tough circumstances to get to where he is today.

  15. 1. Music gives me a break from everyday stresses. I will got from stressing about homework, track, and life to playing the piano. I am in control of the music. I determine the intensity and depth. I can get lost in the music and everything else in the world disappears. Music is an escape, whether I am playing it or not. I can sign along and forget about all my troubles and just enjoy life.

    2. When I hear country I feel rejuvenated. Whether it is quiet and solemn or upbeat and quirky, I can always get something from the song. In country there is soul. The song aren't written about nothing or the usual junk. They have heart and a message. I can relate to the songs and compare them to my life. When I listen to country music, I get a encouragement for the rest of the day.

    3. When I hear "If I Die Young" by The Band Perry I feel relaxed. At first this song made me think and sort off worried me. I was concerned about if I were to die now and if I would leave a footprint. But now I listen to it and it relaxes me, in a way it tells me to stop worrying about life and the "what if's." I need to just take what happens and make the best out of everything because you never know when you are going to go.

  16. Music makes me feel like happy and relaxed most of the time. It allows me to be emerged into something else for a while and relax. Music is something to let me take my mind off of things settles down. Music allows me to remember the good times and forget the bad. Music to me is a way to travel to my own little place where I am in complete control and can reflect and smile about everything that is going on in my life.
When I hear music by Mumford and Sons I feel connected and calm. I remember all of the good things and all the things that make me smile. It makes me feel like I can escape reality if only for the time the song is playing but that’s all I need so smile and remember.
“There's a place, where the boat leaves
    from

It takes away all your big problems

You got worries you can drop them in the blue ocean

But you gotta get away to where the boat leaves from”
This is from Where the Boat Leaves From by Zac Brown Band and it makes me feel like I can escape to paradise. That there is a little slice of heaven out there waiting for me and I just have to go out there and get it. It makes me feel happy as well became it reminds me of the great times I’ve had.

  17. 1. Music speaks to everyone. It relates about our own personal issues, life and what it has to offer, love, and even heartbreak. I think that's why we all relate to music and it shapes us all differently. Music shapes me in many different ways. I listen to Korean (Kpop) music, and I honestly believe that music has no language boundaries. The vocals in a song itself should show emotion, not just the lyrics. The lyrics are just the topping of it all. I enjoy songs about love and heartbreak the most. Songs about love make me feel brighter. More alive and it makes me just look forward to life more. Songs about being heartbroken lets me show my emotions. I think everyone's been through at least a few heartbreaks. I can relate to it and connect my feelings to the singer's feelings and the song itself. Music frees me from my 'busy life' and pulls me more towards my 'emotional life'.

    2. When I listen to 'It Hurts' by 2NE1, I feel connected to my true feelings. I feel sadden cause I wasn't good enough, but I also feel pride because I can be better to someone else and to share my love. I hear my voice tremble as I bare to sing out real lyrics. I feel my eyes as they close containing pure tears. I feel my heart stop for a second, then beat twenty times faster. When I sing, I want to portray my emotions to the audience. I want them to feel my efforts and my soul while I sing to them. I want my audience to dance with me when I sing a song. I feel the love, and I feel the pride of sharing my emotions to an understanding audience.

    3. The song 'Loving U' by Sistar always puts a smile on my face. It moves me cause it makes me heart flutter. It gives me hope and makes my day better. It brings me back to summer memories, where I'm carefree, living life all day by playing volleyball and swimming. It reminds me of hanging out with friends around a campfire and joking around. This song removes all my worries and puts me in a singing mood. My body moves all on it's own and my thoughts all escape.

  18. 1.Music is an inspiration and my escape. The right songs with the right lyrics make me reflect upon myself and my life. A song that speaks to me gives me the “goose-bump affect.” Music allows me to discover who I am and what my purpose is, not only in life, but in the world as well. Music teaches me things about myself that I never knew and I would be lost without it. When all else fails, turn to music.

2.When I hear the lyrics to a song that I know has a deep meaning to it, I know that I’m not the only one with a story to tell. I want to hear songs that were written for a reason, not just so that money can be made. I want to listen to Brandon Flowers’ (lead singer of The Killers) life story, not to who Taylor Swift broke up with this week.

3.One song that really speaks to me is Thinking of You by Katy Perry. This song is about a woman who’s husband goes into the army and he tells her to move on. Eventually he is killed while fighting and she has to live with all of the things she regrets. This song taught me that you have to live your life with no regrets and to cherish the small, yet important pieces of life because they could be gone in a blink of an eye.

  19. 1. Music is the voice I have when I'm in a bad mood and I don't want to be bothered by anyone. Music is like thearapy on the go 24/7. The weird thing is just listening to the song that the lyrics relate to you 100% and you just like "WOW". Music can also even teach you stuff like how not to fall in love with the wrong person but you don't really listen with your mind and your heart.

    2. When I hear my favorite song I feel like there are no problems in the world. I can do whatever I want such as jump around or just have fun no matter who is around. I like the songs that inspire me to do more than go out and smoke or do other stuff like that.

    3. One song that speaks to me is Stuck on Stupid by Chris Brown. This song is about a guy who has the strongest feelings for a girl who doesn't love him back. She is just pushing him away but and he just keeps acting a fool to finally get her to be his. He just is all about her, no matter what other girls try and be with him he is only in love with her.

  20. 1. Music, the only medium where everyone can co-exist. Music has all types of genre's but everyone will have there differences, but it connects people on a primal level. Either pushing people to do great things, or pushing for something not so great. Music inspires me on a personal level depending on what genre. Each genre of music has its on special feel and response to today's and yesterday's problems. Timeless songs are the ones that loosely talk about an event or problem, never it naming it directly. So it's up to the listener to depict there own version of the song. On a more rare occasion, the song is a response to a direct problem/situation. This songs usually are good for a bit. However, they don't adapt to the environmental like feeling songs. No all music fits into these categories, only the good ones do.

    2. When I hear Lamb of God, I feel a sense of primal excitement to do something. Sure, that something may not be that intelligent or it may be, but it moves me to do something. There songs just push you to get up and make a difference, it might be a small one but it still counts. It also, in a way, sets me free of personal and set upon me restrictions. Heavy metal insist as wildly listened too as other genre's, but anyone can see it's a good outlet to release anger, harmlessly.

    3. One song that I can particularly and constantly have fun with is a rather old song actually. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" by The Tokens. I personally first heard it in the Lion King, back when I was like five. The song is fun and easy to sing, and almost anyone can have fun with it. It also gives my a flashback to when I still possessed innocence and my ever expanding imagination which I miss so much to do. This song is basically a gateway back to the old me, that I once knew but have fallen out of touch with because the world has shaped me into something I don't want to be.

  21. 1. Music inspires and moves me to achieve greater things in this life. As a musician I feel like I have the power to change someone else's life, like my idols have done for me; and that's just about the greatest feeling in the world. Music is an escape, a relief for all those in doubt. When you play or hear music you don't feel no pain. Music is a universal language, so everyone speak up.

    2. Whenever I play drums and I nail a sick song by Suicide Silence, August Burns Red or Miss May I, or just any other compliacted song I can't help but have the dumbest looking grin on myself because I forgot all my troubles. I remember what life means and I remember why I do what I do.

    3. One song that truly speaks to me is So Far Away by Avenged Sevenfold. It's beautifully written and the lyrics hold so much meaning to me and the band. The song is about the drummer of Avenged Sevenfold (The Rev) and his death. The Rev is one of the main reasons I became a musician or more specifically a drummer when I was about 7 or 8 years old. I'll always love that band and especially that song.

    4. (Oh gosh)
    August Burns Red
    A Day to Remember
    Chelsea Grin/Suicide Silence
    Haste the Day
    All Time Low/Farewell

  22. 1. Music is what shapes me, it is what motivates me to go further and reach the greater lengths in life. It is what opens me up as a person and allows me to view my own emotions from a greater perspective. It is what helps me cope with my emotions like therapy and is my own personal outlet to escape from reality. Music brings me to be a better person it is more of a healing device or meditation when listening to music i am listening to my own emotions. It is something that keeps me in place and reminds me of who I am, and brings me closer to myself and others. 2. When I hear the music i feel like I am in my own world and enlightened, i feel like inside of myself something has burst and is being explored at the moment when listening to a song that feels inspiring. I know that the music is a part of me. The music gives me a message that i can always relate to in many ways. 3. The song Pictures of You by the cure is a song about struggling to let go of someone that is close to your loving heart, it is about finding yourself and gaining the courage to let all your feelings go and move on now that the person is gone. I think everyone can relate to a song like this, most people these days develope early relationships at a young age and most of the time they never work out and people struggle with heartache after break up or whatever conflict that tore the two apart. people can also relate to this song from losing a loved one that has passed. In both ways this song sends a message and is different to everyone, but it is the same in helping one move on and letting go of the past and finding the courage to let it all go. 4. The Cure, Depeche Mode, Wiz khalifa, The smiths, Jack Johnson

  23. Music is a fickle thing. One can either be completely entranced by a tune, or utterly repulsed by it. For me, I like most songs, however; different genres/songs do different things for me. For instance, I often will try to complete English homework while listening to some film scores. But when I am writing some computer code, or doing math, I prefer to have some Electronic/Heavy Bass songs. I am not sure why, but they both have different effects on me, and they do not work interchangeably. Therefore, I would say that music focuses me on tasks. It gives me motivation to complete them, and gives me ideas.

    2. When I hear Pentatonix I feel a little unsure about whether this is reality or not. The way that their voices combine to create music is outstanding and really does make me question the limits of mankind.

    3. I love the song Love Song for a Savior. The lyrics are like ear candy, they just make you feel lifted up and encouraged. The simplicity of the song is also comforting.

  24. Music is a very powerful thing. It is what I listen to, to get pumped up for a game, or to feel better about some thing, or just to relax and drift off in the lyrics. Music can take the worries away because in that moment all you care about is listening to that song, this is why I like to sing along with my songs. Music can also bring people together for example when two people like the same type of music they can really connect throught that. Music is also something that everyone in the world likes, people may hate a certain type of music but everyone like their own type. I like listening to music about people doing great things when everyone thought they couldn't, that is very inspirational to me.

When I hear some Macklemore it gives me goose bumps, it also makes me want to sing along my favorite song by him is Ten Thousand Hours and my favorite line is "I make my living off of words and do what I love for work and got around 980 on my SAT's take that system" This is my favorite line because it shows that you dont have to do what "the system" or what other people tell you to do just to be successful. This is defenetly one of those lines that gives me goose bumps.

Some of my favorite songs are:
    Otherside by Macklemore
    Starting Over by Macklemore
    Make the Money by Macklemore
    My oh My by Macklemore
Sing For the Moment by Eminem
